So I think I have come to a conclusion that it’s a pretty good idea to change commuter tires at least once per season. This particularly bad bald patch is just one of at least 5 threadbare spots on the rear wheel. Managed to stick some cardboard behind it and get myself going again, thanks to John and Christopher, I will never forget that trick.
